Below you will find:

  • Netcompany's 2024 annual report with its CSRD report from page 61 and

  • the report that synthesizes the reports of early adopters in 2023.

The European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will come into force for financial years starting on 1 January 2024 for large companies already subject to the NFRD, and progressively for other categories of companies until 2026.

These publications provide valuable insights into the implementation of new sustainability reporting standards.

The CSRD significantly expands the scope of sustainability reporting obligations and concerns in particular the following entities:

  1. Large companies : The CSRD applies to all large companies that meet at least two of the following three criteria:

    • More than 250 employees.

    • An annual turnover of over 40 million euros.

    • An annual balance sheet total of more than 20 million euros.

  2. Public-interest undertakings : This includes all companies listed on EU regulated markets, regardless of their size, as well as banks, insurance companies, and other entities designated as such by Member States because of the nature of their activity, their size or the number of their employees.

  3. Medium-sized unlisted companies : From 2026, the CSRD will also apply to medium-sized unlisted companies that exceed the following thresholds:

    • More than 250 employees.

    • Net turnover greater than 40 million euros or a balance sheet total greater than 20 million euros.

  4. Subsidiaries of affected groups : Subsidiaries that are part of a group of companies that must comply with the CSRD will also have to comply with these obligations if they themselves meet the size criteria mentioned above.

  5. Companies based outside the EU : Companies located outside the EU but listed on European regulated markets are also affected by the CSRD.
